I was going to use the phrase "loves to play w/ adult toys" as my headline just to get your attention but thought better of it. It is true, I play with adult toys but not that kind of adult toy. I sell, and teach, and use, canoes and kayaks in the summer and snowshoes and telemark skis in the winter. And I think of them as adult toys.
I moved to Vermont a few years ago after coming up here for a vacation. I grew up in Washington DC and I am doing my best never to go back. I bought my little house in the woods, found a job that I love, and have been exploring ever since. I don't play head games, and avoid people with negative attitudes. I am a little shy at first and find it hard to be in crowds but I am working on that. Most of the things I enjoy are done outdoors. They can be done alone (OK most of them) but would be more fun with someone to share them with. I guess what I am looking for is a companion to enjoy the good things that life in Vermont has to offer. Like kayaking on Lake Champlain in the summer and snow shoeing on Mt. Mansfield in the winter. Sitting around a fire with friends or paddling by moonlight on full moon nights. And the things that are not so good we can work on making better together. I guess one of my goals in life is to make were ever I am a little better where ever I can. Be that a smile to someone who looks like they could use one or picking up trash when I am out hiking in the woods. There is an old saying that nice guys finish last, why don't you help me prove that not to be true. I look forward to meeting new friends (we can all use more of them especially at moving time) and maybe finding that lasting partner we are all searching for. I don't have a recent picture of myself yet but I am working on it. I don't have a cell phone with a camera but I really am working on it. This may sound funny but I have had numerous people say I look like Eric Clapton. Hey what can I say, It's the best I can do for now.
